Judge Lewis Kaplan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled Thursday afternoon that five of the charges against Bankman-Fried can go to trial in March 2024, allowing the U.S. Justice Department to pursue only eight. charges brought in the first indictment last December for the current trial of the FTX founder this fall.
